On this Passages, host David Byrd introduces you to two men – one a former Israeli army officer and the other a former Palestinian militant – who are working together to bring about peace.

Erez Krispin is a former Captain in the Israeli Defense Forces. He says he is still a Zionist, but an incident in Gaza changed his mind about fighting Palestinians. Nour Shehada is a former leader of a local Palestinian Fatah unit in the West Bank.  He grew up hating and fighting Israelis and spent five years in an Israeli prison. But he also came to renounce violence as a political tool.  Their organization is called Combatants for Peace, and they use non-violent tactics to try to bring about change.

Former enemies working together for peace – on this edition of Passages.
